Arc shuts down on 22 December 2026
Move from Arc in two minutes
Your Spaces, pinned tabs and favorites come with you, one session per Space. StoreTabs reads the file on your computer and never uploads it.
Install StoreTabs in your new browser
Chrome, Edge or Brave. Free, no account.
Arc keeps working until 22 December, and the file stays on your computer after that, so there is time.
Find Arc's sidebar file
Arc keeps your Spaces and tabs in a file called StorableSidebar.json. It stays on your computer after Arc stops working, so you can do this later too.
Mac
~/Library/Application Support/Arc/StorableSidebar.json
In the file picker, press Cmd+Shift+G and paste the path.
Windows
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\TheBrowserCompany.Arc_ttt1ap7aakyb4\LocalCache\Local\Arc\StorableSidebar.json
Paste the path into the address bar of the file picker.
Import it
Open the StoreTabs archive (click the icon, then Open archive), choose Import tabs from another tool and select the file. StoreTabs shows what it found before anything is saved. Click Import.
Open a Space as a window
Each Space becomes a session called Arc: Space name, and your favorites become Arc: Favorites. Pinned and unpinned tabs are included, also the ones inside folders. Click Open all to get a Space back as a window.
Tip: give each session a name and pin the ones you use every day. Pinned sessions stay at the top of the list.
Questions
Is my Arc file uploaded anywhere?
No. StoreTabs reads it in your browser and sends nothing to us. The imported sessions are then kept like all your other sessions, including the bookmark copy, which your browser syncs if bookmark sync is on.
Can I still do this after 22 December?
Yes, as long as the file is still on your computer. Arc stopping does not delete it. Make a copy to be safe.
Are Arc folders kept?
The tabs inside folders are imported into the Space's session, in the same order. The folder structure itself is flattened.
I have several Arc profiles
All Spaces in the file are imported, one session per Space, whatever profile they belong to.
Can I use Arc's own export instead?
If you exported your bookmarks as an HTML file, StoreTabs can import that too. The sidebar file gives the best result, because it keeps your Spaces apart.
