What's new
Every version, in plain words. StoreTabs updates itself through your browser's extension store.
1.0.1 (30 October 2026)
- Arc import keeps your Spaces. If you had used Little Arc windows, the import could put all your tabs in one session called "Arc". Now each Space becomes its own session, as intended.
- A review, if you like. After you have opened a few saved sessions, or imported tabs, the archive asks once whether you would write a review in your browser's extension store. Answer either way and it never asks again.
1.0.0 – first release (30 October 2026)
- Save without worry. Save a window, all windows or only the tabs you select. StoreTabs checks that every tab was saved before it closes anything.
- Three copies. Your sessions are kept in the extension, in a "StoreTabs" folder in your bookmarks, and, if you turn it on, in a daily backup file. The bookmark copy also keeps your computers in sync through your browser's own bookmark sync: no account, no server.
- Recently open. If the browser crashes or you close a window by mistake, the tabs you had open are there to bring back.
- An archive you can use. Search every saved tab, rename, pin, edit, move and merge tabs, remove duplicates, and go back to earlier versions of a session. The trash keeps sessions for 30 days, moving one there can be undone, and you can delete sessions for good yourself, on all your computers.
- Tab groups. Saved and opened again with their names and colors. Large sessions open quickly: only the first tab loads until you click the others.
- Share as a link. Send a session or a window to someone. The tabs travel inside the link; nothing is uploaded.
- Bring your tabs with you. Import from Arc, OneTab, Session Buddy, Toby, Tab Session Manager, Pocket and bookmark files, and export everything as a file.
- Quick to reach. Alt+Shift+S saves the window, the right-click menu saves tabs, and typing "st" and a space in the address bar searches your archive.
- In English and Norwegian.
